Self Published Fantasy Blog Off 2018

For the last three years the fantasy author Mark Lawrence has run a Self Published Fantasy Blog Off.

The SPFBO exists to shine a light on self-published fantasy. It exists to find excellent books that might otherwise have gone unnoticed. It exists to help readers select, from the enormous range of options, books that have a better chance of entertaining them than a random choice, thereby increasing reader faith in finding a quality self-published read.

300 books are entered with one to be crowned the favourite by 10 review blogs.  Each blog is allocated 30 books to read and review which they then pick their favourite to go into the next round.

From the 2017 entries, Where Loyalties Lie, by Rob J. Hayes was crowned the winner! Well done Rob.

The application process this year opened on Saturday 16th June and by Monday morning, 300 books had been received and one of those was mine – I have entered my dark fantasy novel Dark of Winter into the contest.

Here I am listed!

This years reviewers are as follows:

So good luck to all the authors who have entered this year, thank you to Mark Lawrence for running the contest and to the reviewers for their upcoming hard work in choosing their favourite.
